TEMPE, Ariz. – A team from Arizona State University has secured top honors in the U.S. Army’s competitive Best Rager Competition, the military’s highest honor for raging ass bangin’ parties.

“We’re incredibly proud of these exceptional young men,” said Professor of Military Science Leo Cisneros. “It’s not just that they were able to party all the time for three grueling days, it was the way that they trained for it all year.”

During the Best Rager competition, soldiers from all over the country compete in two-man teams in events like corn hole, beer bonging, body shots, flip cup and buddy aid. The team, comprised of MS-IV Cadets Spencer Ackman and Tyler Moss, came from behind against older, more seasoned party-throwers for a surprise victory.

“Best Rager was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done,” said Ackman. “There was a moment at 3 a.m. the second night when my liver whispered to me, ‘Give up, Spencer.’ I had to center myself, take all the strength I had, and yell, ‘I can outrun you, liver!’”

The competition was held just days after graduation, where party competition at Arizona State was high.

“We trained hard all year on the cornhole, so we weren’t worried about that,” said Moss. “But when we got to the bitches stage of Best Rager, we thought for sure the Louisiana State Heaux would beat us out. “

Despite the time and attention of training for Best Rager, the Arizona State cadets feel like the black out nights, cases of Pedialyte and unexplained bruises were worth it.

Moss and Spencer have accepted commissions in the Armor branch, where they hope to lead troops in combat sometime next year.
