Duffel Blog just made history
What a week.
Duffel Blog can now add ‘mentioned in the congressional record’ to its list of accolades.
On Wednesday, this scrappy little blog turned newsletter made national news after Congressman Pat Fallon (R-Texas) used information from a Duffel Blog article while questioning a witness testifying on behalf of the Southern Poverty Law Center.
And boy, was it something.
“Ms. Brooks, just a yes or no question for you: Has your organization named the American Legion as a hate group?” Fallon asked a confused Leticia Brooks, who said she did not believe so but would need to check the full list.
“OK, I’ve found it and it did,” Fallon continued. “And how about – were you aware that the organization named the VFW, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as a hate group?”
