HOUSTON, Texas — Mere days from their first deployment, more than half of Space Team Three’s members suffered a severe overtraining injury—carpal tunnel syndrome. As a result, during a classified session regarding the newest military branch, Congress grilled Space Force top brass about training abuses.
Reports say the Guardians were simply pushed too hard, too fast. The training cadre has been placed on paid leave while their program suffers through scrutiny from the House Armed Services Committee.
“These men and women are the best, and they’ve completed the toughest training in the world,” said Space Force spokesman James T. Clerk. “They’ve clicked and they’ve typed, and they are the first graduates from the Space Force Special Forces Services (SFSFS) pipeline. Frankly, we might have asked too much of them.”
