Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley issued an apology today after he accidentally typed the words “hot goth girls” into a Microsoft Teams chat with the other members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

“We’ve all been here,” Milley said. “With modern technology evolving at the speed of combat, this teachable moment highlights the importance of senior leaders remaining cognizant into which platform they’re typing ‘hot goth girls’ at any given moment.”

“Uh, I haven’t been there,” Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston muttered from the back of the Chairman’s press room.
