Vet walks around PX avoiding life; reminiscing about walking around the PX avoiding work

MASSACHUSETTS – 29-year-old Air Force veteran Jerry Aldrich was seen wandering aimlessly in the Hanscom Air Force Base Exchange today, reliving treasured moments from his time in service, when he spent days wandering aimlessly in the Exchange (PX) on Hanscom Air Force Base.

Many service members visit the Exchange for tax-free purchases, decent prices on alcohol, and people-watching dependents who ask if there is a separate line for wives of E-7s. But Aldrich spends his free time avoiding his bleak civilian reality by walking up and down the electronics aisles and staring at the flannel and carpenter boots on sale at the PX. It reminds him of his enlisted glory days; days spent doing the same thing to avoid his Tech Sergeant at all costs.
