What stays in your browser
The Navy SEAL Book Generator, DD-214 Fortune Teller, and satirical Veteran Benefits tool generate their results in your browser. The satirical benefits tool asks for broad service categories, not identifying details. Its share link includes your chosen categories and appeal count in the URL fragment so recipients can see the same fictional award. Downloaded images include the service summary shown on your award. Veteran Benefits Finder matches your answers against downloaded federal and state benefits data in your browser. The standard Pentagon Buzzword Generator also assembles its initial briefing locally.
Some tools use browser storage for usage counts and verification state. Local generation does not mean the whole website is offline: loading pages, analytics, account features, and optional email delivery involve network requests.
When a tool sends information
Pocket NCO sends your messages and conversation context to our service and Anthropic to generate replies. Military Speech Builder sends the details you provide to our service and Anthropic to generate a speech. Optional AI polishing in the Buzzword Generator sends briefing text to our remote AI service.
When you are signed in before generating a Speech Builder result, we also store that result, your account email, the ceremony type, and a delivery record before any email request. This binds delivery to your account and helps prevent repeat submissions. Email eligibility expires after 24 hours; expiration does not delete the record. Unsent or uncertain results are retained for reconciliation. After our email provider accepts a submission, the stored result body is cleared while its identity and submission status remain.
Our services use request information and usage counters to apply rate limits. The Buzzword polishing service can cache generated responses. Avoid entering sensitive personal information, classified information, or information you do not have permission to share.
Email delivery and the newsletter
If you choose email delivery, your email address and generated result are sent to our service and email provider, Mailgun. For Benefits Finder, that includes the personalized report you ask us to email.
The current email-result offers also subscribe you to the free Duffel Blog newsletter. The delivery form asks you to agree to both before sending. Signing up through a tool stores your email and subscription information in Ghost, our membership platform. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or manage your newsletter preferences.
Accounts, cookies, and service providers
Ghost handles member sign-in and subscriptions. The site uses cookies and browser storage for account sessions, preferences, and analytics. Our hosting, analytics, AI, and email providers process information needed to provide those services. Cookie and request data can include identifiers; it should not be assumed to be anonymous.
Following an external link, including a government benefits application, takes you to a site with its own privacy practices.
