How the machines came about
THE LABS collects six tools the desk built to save someone from filling out the same form by hand: buzzword translation, a DD-214 read-out, a change-of-command or retirement speech, a satirical benefits letter, a fake SEAL memoir, and a sergeant who talks back. Three of them — the SEAL Book Generator, the DD-214 Fortune Teller and the satirical Veteran Benefits tool — generate their output in your browser.
The others send what you type to outside AI companies to write the reply. All six are open to the public, limited by quota rather than by a paywall, and none comes with the support a shipped product would — see the house terms and the privacy notes for what happens to what you type.
